ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL plans for the 2023-2024 school year
Students can arrive at school from 9:05 - 9:15 am. Please wait with your child(ren) outside until the main doors open at 9:05 am. Students need to be seated by 9:20 am or they will be marked tardy. Morning announcements are at 9:23 am.
Students will begin dismissal immediately following the 3:50 pm bell. Students will be called to dismiss from their classroom alphabetically by last name in 3 groups (A-I, J-Q, and R-Z). Students will exit the building through Door 2 (or Door 9 if you are also picking up a preschool child). They will not be allowed to leave the sidewalk without an adult present.
It is the parents' responsibility to arrange transportation home for their children. Unless prior arrangements have been made, each child must be picked up no later than 4:00 pm. Students who have not been picked up by this time will be taken to St. Odilia's after-school program, Knight Watch, and parents will be invoiced accordingly.

Please note:
Routes
Routes and stop locations are set by the bus company based on the location of the families who register. Routes will have a combination of common stops and driveway stops. The total time for each route depend on the number of stops, but will have a maximum time of approximately 60 minutes each way. We plan on using a first on, first off method when possible, but will employ the most efficient route to keep total time as low as possible.
Is the price per student or per family?
The price is per family.
How are we billed?
Your tuition account will be billed starting in September, with the last payment due in May for a total of 9 payments.
What if I decide to stop using the route in the middle of the year?
Signing up for the St. Odilia Bus is a 9 month financial commitment. If you decide to have your child stop riding the bus you will continue to be billed through May for this service.
How will common stops be determined?
Addresses from those families who register will determine stops that are safe and keep the timing of the route in line with expectations.
Will I need to drive my child(ren) to the common stop?
While we won't know the location of common stops until registration is completed, it is likely that most families will need to drive to the common stops.
What happens if a parent does not show up to the common stop for afternoon pick up?
St. Odilia will follow a policy known as "Eye-to-Eye" Transfer. Parents of older students may request that their child(ren) be able to walk to their home from the common stop.
"Eye-to-Eye" Transfer - Bus driver will have eye-to-eye contact with parent or other designated adult before releasing student from the bus.
The Eye-to-Eye Transfer Method requires a parent/designated adult to receive your child/ren at the scheduled drop off location every day. It should be understood that if; for any reason, the parent/designated adult is not at the bus stop at the scheduled time the bus will wait no more than 2 minutes depending on traffic impact before proceeding on with the remainder of the route. The bus company will attempt to contact parents/guardians to coordinate a drop off upon completion of the route, and if parents/guardians are unreachable the local authorities will be notified.
Students are transported by bus or parents will provide transportation. We have no provision for students walking to school. Parents are responsible for the safe arrival of students who do not ride a bus to the school doors.
Busing: Bus transportation to and from St. Odilia is furnished by the Mounds View School District for students residing within both the Mounds View School District and our busing boundaries. There is a fee for busing within the Mounds View attendance area for those who reside within a two mile radius of the school. Transportation for students residing within both the Roseville District and our busing boundaries is provided by the Roseville School District. The Roseville School District does charge a fee for students seventh grade and up that reside within a two-mile radius of the school. Bus service for those not residing in the above areas is available in some areas via two St. Odilia buses. There is a fee for this service.
Transportation Notes: Anytime a student’s usual transportation method is changed their parent/guardian must notify the school office via email at [email protected]. The email must indicate the bus and/or the person by which the child will be transported. The office will notify the teachers of the change.
Residents of certain school districts who send their children to St. Odilia may be eligible for transportation reimbursement from the school district of residence. At the end of each school year, these school districts pass the responsibility to distribute the transportation reimbursement to individual families on to St. Odilia. St. Odilia receives a lump sum check from these districts with a list of families and the amount of reimbursement, which is typically based on the distance from the family’s house to the border of the district. Since St. Odilia is tasked with the responsibility to process and record each transaction, St. Odilia will charge a $20 administrative fee per family reimbursement. In the event that the reimbursement is less than $20, a check will not be issued. Any past due amounts for tuition or school-related fees will also be deducted prior to issuing the transportation reimbursement check.
Transportation Notes: Anytime a student’s usual transportation method is changed their parent/guardian must notify the school office via email at [email protected]. The email must indicate the bus and/or the person by which the child will be transported. The office will notify the teachers of the change.
