|St. Odilia School Hot Lunch Program|
The School Hot Lunch Program will be provided by Mounds View School Food Service and begins on the first day of school. Menus will be in the New Brighton News, Focus and you can also download the menus below on this website. Our head cook for St. Odilia School is Amy Sime.
How to pay for lunch:
Students need a lunch account with a PIN number to pay for lunches. They receive their PIN numbers at Open House or the first day of school. You can fund your lunch account by either using the online payPAMS or by writing a check and bringing it into school. If you bring a check into school, please make the check payable to Mounds View School District #621, and if you know your students 5-digit PIN, please write this in the memo line of the check. You can drop the check off in the school office or drop into the wall box to the left of the entrance to the lunchroom. You cannot pay in the lunchroom while lunch is being served, as no one will be available to help you at that time.

Food to Animals
Currently all food waste, milk cartons, liquids, and food packaging end up in one place; the garbage. According to St.Paul-Ramsey County Public Health, an average school throws away about the weight of 2 1/2 African Elephants of food waste per year. This could be up to 35,000 pounds of waste in one year! How can we do our part, give back, and take responsibility for the beautiful environment and community God has created for us? The answer is: food waste recycling called "Food to Animals".
During breakfast and lunch students sort their garbage from their food/liquid waste. Food and liquid waste is picked up and delivered to Barthold Farms. Pigs at the farm will use our "waste" for delicious food so they can live as free range animals. All that our students need to keep in mind while sorting is that if they can eat or drink it, so can the pigs.
